We currently live at an elevation of approx. 2700 feet which explains why we are home today for yet another snow day. Due to holidays and snow days, the last full (5 days) week of school for the kids was the week before Thanksgiving. In November. On the plus side, the ski resorts are having a great year!

The school book fair was last week and we had the most sales of any WV school. It was a long week - even with MLK Day on Mon. and 2hr delays on Tuesday and Wednesday. Maddie and Steitler wrapped up basketball practice and their games would have started today.

On a hilarious note...Maddie's Girl Scout troop has a new leader. Guess who?! Yes, I officially registered as a Girl Scout(at 30) and started my leader training yesterday. I know, laugh it up.

Okay, I have heard you! Here's to a new year of blogging.

Our new year has started off busy as usual. The kids started school on Monday the 5th and promptly had a snow day on Thursday, Jan 8th. And today, we have a 2hr delay beacuse of the snow that fell last night. I had to drive home from work last night while it was snowing and it was 15 degrees outside which also made the roads a bit slick but I managed to make it home in 50 minutes (usually takes 15) with no problems...until I turned on our street and the deer (4 - one with antlers and 3 whom I can only assume are his harem) who wait patiently in the cold for me to come home darted out across the road and startled me so that I almost ran in to the ditch. I should have seen it coming, they are waiting for me nearly every night.

Maddie and Steitler started basketball yesterday. They are both excited about the season.

My computer is having some technical problems so I will try to upload some pictures this weekend. Thanks for asking about us and wanting updates!
