It appears that my sister, Em, and I have moved into a new stage of our lives. Sadly, our days of spelling words out so that "little ears" cannot decipher our schemes, are over. This is an example of a phone conversation we had yesterday.
Em: "Did Mom ask you if you and the kids wanted to go somewhere tomorrow morning? Around 10?"
ev: "No, she did not mention anything to me."
Em: "It is for kids."
ev: "Is it ... ummm, the place downtown, with lots of walkways, kinda loud."
Em: "No. It is a place that is very dark, has stadium seating."
ev: "Oh, okay. What is playing?"
Em: "A tale about sharks."
ev: Oh okay- yeah that sounds great - I really did not want to go downtown to the other place since it is SO hot."
