Off our deck - the fireworks shows in town did not start until nearly 10:30 pm.
Sparklers at 9:30pmI can't remember all the times I tried to tell myself to hold on to these moments as they pass *Counting Crows
On our way back from Hole In The Wall, the tide was coming in and the water was very rough. We warned the kids to stay away because the water was so strong. Steitler was looking at a rock, with his back to the water as a huge wave knocked him on his face. I was 2 steps away from him but the wave pulled him out so fast that by the time I got to him, I was in over my knees. He was slightly traumatized but now has a very healthy respect for the ocean. He was soaking wet and was wearing denim shorts so every step he took was chapping his legs. He was scared and in pain which is the only reason that he got this sweet ride for the last mile of our hike.
