Back

Ben with his biking buddies Giddy Up
Giddy Up Even More
Swimming with Ian
Lunch with Mrs. Kay

We packed a lot into this day. We dropped Ben off at the Charleston station for a mgr. meeting and a relaxing 12 mile bike ride through the Kanawha State Forest. While he was pedaling away, the kids and I met Mrs. Kay for lunch. We then met up with some friends at church. After that, Mrs. Anna had the kids over to swim. We picked Ben up and went to Target before we headed back to Beckley.

Growing

I'm not saying that we bought a house with a little land super -fast this spring just so Ben could compete in the Buisch Brother's Garden Grow-a-thon...

Overheard

At the dinner table...

e: I think the corn (in the garden) is taller than the kids.

S: YES it is! It's so big - I can't even walk down the aisles!

B: Rows, son, corn rows.

Overheard

The kids and I were sitting in the car waiting for Ben to come out of the video store. A very pregnant lady walked by us.

Maddie asks, "Mom, how do you get pregnant anyway?"

Before I can say anything, she says, "I mean, you have 2 kids so I know that you must know how."

Dinner

We were so thrilled to have dinner in Lewisburg (WV) with the Powell family! Mitch and Ben were managers together at Ben's station on Bremerton, WA. It was so nice to see some of our West Coast friends since we moved.

Linked Up

Sorry I have been slow in getting up vacation pictures! Blogger loads only 5 pictures at a time and slower than you can imagine, so I have linked pictures here of our Myrtle Beach trip. We had a lovely time. The kids LOVED playing in the ocean and I did not have to hold hands with them the entire time. We spent so much time in the water I still feel prunish.

Here are pictures from the rest of our SC trip. We enjoyed Clovelly's 8th birthday(flamingo!) party, a trip to the zoo, a wedding, hanging out with friends and family and just visiting around.

July pictures from the 1st to the 6th can be found here. We were excited to have holiday weekend visitors to our new home! Having family (fairly) close by is a nice perk to being back on the East Coast.
