“Today you are You, that is truer than true.
There is no one alive who is Youer than You.”
Things I love about Ted Geisel :
- He was removed as editor-in-chief of the Dartmouth humor paper, Jack-O-Lantern after throwing a wild party. He continued to write for the paper under the psuedonym, Seuss.
- Houghlin Mifflin and Random House asked him to write a new children's primer book that was less dainty and less boring than earlier primers. We know that book as The Cat in the Hat.
- Green Eggs and Ham was written on a bet that he could not write a children's book with only 50 words.
“The more that you read, the more things you will know.
The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.”
