1. I got this text message: "Do your kids like McDonald's?" The text was from my friend, Suzanne but I did not recognize her number. I was asking someone if they knew the number that I got the text from and Steitler leaned over and said, "Mom! I bet that text was from Ronald McDonald!"
2. We were sitting at a red light next to a Taco Bell and Maddie says, "MOM! Sign me up! I love bacon!" The Taco Bell sign said "Try our bacon club."
3. At dinner Saturday night, Steitler says, "Mom, you may need walking lessons but you sure don't need cooking lessons!"
4. The kids and I are listening to Bob Dylan on the way to school and talking about famous songwriters like Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Adam Duritz...Steitler mentions Paul McCartney, of course. Then Maddie says, "Don't forget Kenny Ortega. " I reply, "I am afraid I do not know who you are talking about." Maddie, clearly exasperated, says, " Kenny Ortega wrote the music for High School Musical AND High School Musical 2." I kid you not.
