Previously I never saved enough with coupons to bother with the hassle of coupons. I could buy the generic at Wal-Mart and still come out cheaper than I would at Kroger with a coupon.
As it turns out, I was missing 2 key components to the coupon game:
1. Store sales
2. Double coupons

We now have several grocery store choices in just a few miles so I decided I would try out couponing. I have been slowly stocking up on coupons and getting tips from friends and this week I tried out extreme couponing.

I spend around an hour on Sundays clipping coupons from 6 newspapers. I spend around 20 minutes reading the sale ads on Sundays and Wednesdays.
